OOTP never ceases to amaze with it’s stupidity
OOTP has once more demonstrated this end of season that it’s a complete arse. Witness the great happenings below.
On October 26th I received a missive by his own hand that Luis Maldonado was unhappy with his lot in El Paso and desired a trade.
Barely two weeks latter he failed to opt out of his contract, thus condemning himself to at least two more years of unhappiness with his role.
He may well be more unhappy if we decide that he could while out his time in Albuquerque. Another happy emailer was Tony Hernandez.
Obviously a season of 162 games hitting at number three in the batting order was too much of a ‘role player’ for poor Hernandez. Kept out of the cleanup spot by the obviously inferior Tommy Cochran who hit a mere 45 homers and 113 RBI must have rankled with the 37 homer / 107 RBI Hernandez.
The stupidness even extends to Brother Allred who sent me these wishes going forward.
How on earth does he expect me to get anywhere close to .500 baseball if I am to dispense with the services of our best pitcher in 2045, Gerald Sizemore? While Phil Cole may well supersede him as the El Paso #1 in 2046, any hope of gaining wins surely rests with a 1, 2 punch of Cole & Sizemore?
The chilling parting message from Brother Allred means that it’s a fair chance that 2046 may be my last year in the desert as he searches for more success than I can, in all honestly, give.
