Sim 13: Four wins opens up gap to 3rd place Boulder

June 22nd vs Prince George Cougars W 5-3
June 23rd vs Prince George Cougars W 5-0

June 24th vs Prince George Cougars L 0-11
June 26th @ Medford Mules W 4-3
June 27th @ Medford Mules W 6-2

June 28th @ Medford Mules L 2-3

Topeka won the first two games against Cougars, the first win was due to four runs in the eighth turning the game around while Prince George never showed up for the second, Bob Rowland struck out 10 batters in his just over seven innings of work. The final game against Cougars looked at first glance as though the Thunderbears never turned up either as they had their 4-game winning streak snapped but Cougars only outhit Topeka 7-5, it was just that Prince George hit five doubles while Mario Garcia double was the Thunderbears only EBH. No other EBH’s were managed by either side. Reliever Mark Howell managed eight pitches and an out before he was helped from the mound with a torn rotator cuff that will put his 2046 in doubt. The first two games in Medford went just as well, Topeka scored four runs in the last three innings to turn a 0-3 deficit into a win in game one, George Goodman won his second game of the sim, improving the Stopper’s record to 7-7. In game two Topeka scored all their six runs between the second and fifth innings, Takeshi Suzuki hit his 10th homer and ended up with a 2-5 night, collecting three RBI. Two clean innings by Joe McBride in the middle of the game improved his record to 2-0. Topeka looked to have swept the Mules but a run in the eighth & another in the ninth denied them that. Mario Garcia scored both of the Thunderbears’ runs
