A disappointing sim leaves Albuquerque five and a half games back of Victoria and at the head of a pack of three teams all at .500 on the season. The Coyotes finally won a game behind Phil Cole on the 25th against Black Hills, but he wasn’t involved in the decision. He got his first pro shellacking as he was hooked in the third innings, having given up five hits, two walks, six runs (five earned) while striking out one batter only. Albuquerque had a poor sim with the bat, scoring just once in four of the six games. Juan Castro (1-5) opened the sim getting his first win of 2045 in his 38th outing from the ‘pen. Joe Jones suffered a torn flexor tendon in his elbow against Black Hills on the 24th and it will be deep into 2046 before he will pitch again.
