Sim 11: No wins as Columbus reach the foot of the table
June 8th vs Burlington Big Eyed Fish L 1-12
For the second sim running the Patriot Pandas open with a heavy defeat. Nine unanswered runs in the first three innings finished Columbus off in quick time. The Patriot Pandas only run coming in the bottom of the ninth, a Jose Flores solo homer. Norberto Acuna went 1-1 with two walks, Jose Macel was hooked after four outs having given up five hits, four walks and seven runs.
June 9th vs Burlington Big Eyed Fish L 5-7 (F/10)
The Patriot Pandas were playing catch-up to Burlington all game after they fell 0-1 behind in the third innings, two runs in the bottom of the eighth managed to get us to extras. The Fish won it then with two doubles and a walk in the 10th plating the winning two runs. Anrrique Guincho went 2-4 with a walk, scoring twice and driving four runs in, John Flores went 2-5 and scored twice.
June 13th @ Weymouth Irish L 2-4
The Irish started well with two runs in the bottom of the first and that’s all they really needed. Columbus on just two hits & two walks managed a run in both the fifth & sixth innings but Weymouth were already 3-0 up by then. Bill Burke had a solo homer while Zivon Baichenko scored the Patriot Pandas other run.
June 14th @ Weymouth Irish L 2-3
Two runs by Columbus in the top of the fourth gave them a 2-0 lead but by the end of the fifth the shouting was all over, and the Irish had a winning 3-2 lead. Alejandro Jaquez went 2-4 but did nothing with the hits, Zivon Baichenko & Mike Sears scored the runs for the Patriot Pandas.
