Sim 11: A 3-1 sim but still not quite in touching distance of the top

June 8th vs Aspen Surge W 7-2
Both teams managed ten hits each, but the surge converted that to just two runs in the seventh innings. A couple of braces in the second and fifth was enough to see Topeka home with three in the eighth being the icing on the cake. Shino Nishikawa went 2-4, scoring twice and driving a run in as well. John Snow turned his 2-4 into a run and an RBI. Andy Valentine got the win, his third of 2045, allowing just five hits and three walks in his 5.2 innings of work.

June 9th vs Aspen Surge W 7-0
Aspen never got going here, the Thunderbears had scored five runs in the opening three innings and it was all over bar the shooting. The surge managing just three hits all game. Cesar Lucero went 2-4 and scored both times on base, Miguel Arreola went 2-3 with a walk, a run scored and an RBI. Miguel Felix Gonzalez went 6.2 innings, allowing just two hits and striking out seven batters, claiming his sixth win
.
June 13th @ Hollywood Silver Stars L 5-6 (F/12)
The Silver Stars were looking good for the win as they led 5-2 after five innings but three runs by Topeka in the top of the eighth sent us too extra innings. There, unfortunately, two walks in the 12th innings helped Hollywood to sneak a walk-off run in in. Cesar Lucero went 2-6 scoring once and driving in another two.

June 14th @ Hollywood Silver Stars W 5-2
All the scoring here was completed in the first four innings, two Thunderbear runs in both the second & fourth innings sealed the away win. Tony Casillas went 2-2 with two walks, scoring once and driving two runs in while Hedde Aalbers went 2-3 with a walk and scored twice. George Goodman allowed just one hit over the last two innings to grab his eighth save.
