Sim 10: Only two wins but Topeka remain tied for second

June 1st vs Billings Cowboys W 8-7
Topeka w always a run behind here until they managed to finally level it up in the seventh innings. Four runs by the Thunderbears in the eighth looked to have sealed the win as they went 7-3 ahead but four runs by the Cowboys in the top of the ninth looked to have sent us into extras. Steve Kasper scored on a sac fly in the bottom of the ninth though to steal the win. Hedde Aalbers went 3-5, only scoring once but driving four runs in.

June 2nd vs Billings Cowboys L 1-4
The second game didn’t go so well, Two second innings runs for the Cowboys turned out to be enough to win the game, Topeka managed seven hits, all by different players. Steve Kasper drove in Aidan Lambert for Topeka’s only run.

June 3rd @ Council Bluffs Express L 5-9
On to Council Bluffs and despite Topeka scoring in the top of the first innings the game was over by the end of the innings as the Express scored eight times in the bottom half. Cesar Lucero went 2-4, scoring once and driving another two runs in. Geronimo Battle hit his first homer of 2045, a 3-run shot, in the seventh. Felix Gonzalez got just two batters out before he got the hook, having given up five hits, four walks and eight runs.

June 4th @ Council Bluffs Express W 11-6
The Thunderbears got their revenge with four runs in both the third innings and the eighth innings which was enough to win the game. Tony Casillas and Mario Garcia both went 2-4, both scored three times and Tony drove two in while Mario drove just one in. Bob Rowland took the win to square his record at 3-3.

June 5th @ Council Bluffs Express L 5-8
Council Bluffs won the series despite being 0-3 down after one innings. They scored four in the second innings and after Thunderbears levelled the game at 5-5 in the top of the eighth the Express snatched three runs in the bottom of the eighth to win the series. Mario Garcia went 2-4, scoring twice and driving three runs in. George Goodman gave up those three runs to drop his record to 4-7

June 7th vs Aspen Surge L 0-4
The final game of the sim as a disaster. Topeka only managed three hits and failed to score. The Surge scored two in the seventh and two in the ninth to win. Steve Kasper and John Snow, both got a hit and a walk while Nigel Roberts got the only other hit for Topeka. Roberto Abreu allowed two runs in his seven innings pitched and took the loss, dropping his record to 5-3
