Sim 7: Coyotes still tailed off

May 11th @ Victoria Canucks L 1-4
Three runs in the second innings was enough to win the game for the Canucks, Coyotes only managing the single run all game. Luis Ayla went 3-4 but failed to trouble the scorers. Arturo Huerta second homer of the season was the only run for Albuquerque.

May 12th @ Victoria Canucks W 4-1
Albuquerque avoided the sweep in Victoria in the final game. Trailing 0-1, Coyotes scored two runs in both in the third and seventh innings to turn the game around. Raul Lopez went 3-3 with a walk, scoring once via his first homer of 2045 and driving two runs in. Bartolo Deleon only lasted four + innings despite only allowing a run but Jesus Zapata pitched two clean innings to take his record to 3-1.

May 13th vs Death Valley Scorpions W 6-5
Returning home, the Coyotes hit three third innings runs to lead 3-1 but three runs by the Scorpions in the fifth turned the lead over again. Entering the bottom of the ninth Albuquerque still trailed 5-4and had two on base when Aloisio Prudente came to bat. He hit a triple and cleared the bases, winning the game for the Coyotes. Prudente finished 3-5 with those two RBI while Bill Burke went 2-4 with a walk and scored twice as well as driving two runs in.

May 14th vs Death Valley Scorpions W 4-0
Two early runs by Albuquerque were backed up by two runs in the seventh as Coyotes shut out Death Valley to extend the winning streak to three games and bring them within a game of .500. Fernando Figueroa went 2-4 with a run and a RBI, upping his batting average to .273 and RBI total to 10, maybe he is learning to hit?

May 16th @ San Jose Sharks L 3-5
Unfortunately, Albuquerque ground to a halt in San Jose. 0-3 down, then 3-4 down the Coyotes just couldn’t catch up and an eighth innings run by Sharks sealed their win. Arturo Huerta managed to go 3-4 but only scored once.

May 17th @San Jose Sharks L 2-4
Twice Albuquerque trailed and twice the Coyotes managed to tie up the score again, but they slumped to defeat when San Jose hit a 2-run walk-off homer in the bottom of the ninth innings. Five Coyote players managed two hits as Albuquerque outhit the home team 12-5 but they couldn’t get those base runners home.
