FPL: Robins downed by Aviators (2043-7)
Palm Bay move to 3-0 for the season The Aviators first away game of 2042 was at Apalachicola Robins, Brooklyn’s affiliate. They continued their early hot form when they put three runs on the board in the top of the first, thanks to an Ernesto Ramirez 2-run shot and a Bill Burke solo shot. Two hits in the fourth coupled with three walks and a wild pitch upped Aviators lead to 5-0, Robins got on the board though in the bottom of the fourth as they hit a lead-off homer off of young Hector Fuentes
It didn’t really help them as Palm Bay went back to back with long balls in the fifth extending their lead to 8-1, a Fernando Casimiro 2-run shot & a Mike Sears solo shot doing the damage. The home side added their second run in the eighth, but it was way too late to stop Palm Bay taking another win. Raul Lopez went 3-4 while Bill Burke went 2-3 with a walk, scoring three times and picking up an RBI too. Fuentes went on to pitch a complete game, facing just 36 batters. He allowed eight hits, one walk and two runs while striking out seven.
