2042 Preview – Part.1 Pitching
The first of Wichita’s affiliates to announce their confirmed 2042 rosters is their Double-A affiliate, Columbus Brown Sox. They have announced 30 players on their roster, and this is the first look at the pitching staff.

Garcia split 2041 between A & AA, getting promotion to Columbus at the end of the year. Diaz & Manshert didn’t do too well in this year’s FPL but we hope they will improve for the extra innings, Cutler and Sunther were both minor league free agent signings during the off season.

A mixture of first time promotees and returning Double-A arms. A few are older than I’d like in AA mainly as I’d like to see their progress, or lack of it, before I decide where they’re going. Rocha spent the second half of 2041 in Triple-A but had a pretty rough time of it going 1-3 with a 7.20 ERA and a 1.53 WHIP. If he returns to his 2041 AA numbers, he’ll be back up again pretty soon to Albuquerque, trying to progress better than last year.
Columbus won 74 games last year, the only Wichita affiliate above .500, and with this staff I’ll be disappointed if they don’t at least get close to that, or indeed even surpass that.
