2040.06 Bunch of dudes released

The Aviators released a bunch of dudes today; some were due to become free agents, some were heading to arbitration, and some dudes had a year left on their deals.

Long time utility man, Ismael Pena, was released, due to youngster Jim Abernathy being deemed ready to take over the utility role against LHP.

Reliever, Rafael Suarez, was released at the conclusion of his contract as he is turning thirty four years old...and had a 5.21 ERA.

Loogy Duck Cantrell was released because he's 37, and more importantly, because he refused to discuss an extension.

Designated hitter, Jody Crawford, was dropped...his poor batting eye always limited his chances for the Aviators, and they weren't about to pay him his arbitration value of roughly $1.8 million when it didn't really seem like he had a job.
