On June 24, 2037, during Abe Colbert's masterful shutout of the hapless Aztecs, Wichita Aviator Ramiro Marino beat the hell out of Mexico starter Doorbell Pendleton.
Shit kicked off to start the fifth inning, when Aviator star Alvin Dickinson launched another poor Pendleton offering into the stratosphere; after Dickinson performed the patented ' Aviator helicopter bat flip', (which all Aviator players perform after every homerun), the star stared down the hapless moundsman, and dusted his hands clean.
Pendleton was visible shaken, but tried to concentrate as Marino strode to the plate. Marino got settled into the batters box, determined to swing the bat with only one hand, to give the Aztec pitcher a chance. Pendleton spurned the offered help, by burying the first pitch into Marino's ribs.
Aztec catcher Hollywood Mei wisely stepped aside as Marino strode to the mound. Pendleton turned frantically in circles, but no help was forth coming from any direction.
Marino quickly slapped Pendleton across the face, sharply. Pendleton began to cry and brought his hands up to his face, whereupon Marino seized them and began slapping Pendleton across the face with his own hands.
The benches quickly cleared, and Pendleton was able to slink off to his dugout in the confusion.
Pendleton got eight games for the fracas, largely because of the sheer volume of slaps he rained down upon his own face. Marino got only four games as the league was clearly embarassed that Marino was put into such an ludicruous situation.
