The Wichita Aviators enjoyed a quiet Rule V draft in 2037, losing one malcontent, Adel Bin Ibrahim) and briefly gaining another, Javier Tavarez).

Bin Ibrahim was lost to the San Fernando Bears, who must see something in the unpleasant Ibrahim that the Wichita staff did not.

"Yes he throws hard," admitted Wichita Genius, GM Hopkins," But he's kind of a jerk...plus he sucked at AAA last year...hopefully the Bears keep him."

Tavarez is another long time associate of the Genius; the center-fielder being signed by the then-Louisville boss back in 2029, as a seventeen year old Mexican international free agent.

"I always liked Javier," smiled the Genius," But the boy just can't hit...so I've returned him to Calgary. Still it was nice to reconnect with his sisters over the weekend while he was briefly our property. Sweet sweet girls...I'd forgotten how much fun they were."

I should have scouted the Rule 5 better. I wouldn't have minded taking Ibrahim.

not quite sure where i will use him yet, most likely bouncing between pen and swingman. He can also fill in at starter for short injury periods.

Ibrahim must love Rule 5 time lol. Probably sits at the airport with all his bags packed after his second selection in the Rule 5 draft

He is one of those guys that will do very well against certain teams and do awful against others. If spots are picked he can do alright. Hard to hide him as a rule 5 pick though.

Have you seen how little I use my bullpen? Plenty of places for him to hide in there haha
