On a Higher Plane 2035.13...First ever waiver wire pick-up!

Wichita Aviators Genius, GM Hopkins, noted retroactively, the first (and as yet, only), waiver wire pickup from the Vancouver Mounties, twenty-five year old lefty reliever, Mathew Brown.

Brown struggled mightily in his 2034 BBA baptism, giving up 5 homeruns in 9 innings, presumably as a late season loogy out of the Mountie 'pen. But Brown also enjoyed a tremendous 2034 in AAA, and a very good season in 2033 AAA. The southpaw should be an effective arm out of the bullpen for the Aviators in 2035.

"Its rare to find young guys with minor league options on waivers," grinned the Genius," But for some reason, the Mounties dropped the ball on this one. I like Brownie. He will fill a role for us, either in the majors or in AAA. Costless acquisitions are what I'm all about, baby."

It is anyone's guess as to whether the southpaw will be able to clinch a role in an already crowded Aviator 2035 bullpen.
