2064-014: Talons GM Stuck at Smelter All Weekend During Monty Championship Series

Local Neighborhood Iron Smelter, Toledo, OH--

Reports from this medium-sized Midwestern city this morning indicate that the Local Neighborhood Iron Smelter had suffered an emergency shutdown last night, and the Talons Reclusive GM was called in to start it up today.

This throws serious doubt as to whether the GM can even participate in the festivities tonight. He did send us a text however:

"Yeah, I actually have to do some semblance of 'work' today at the smelter. It's rare, but it happens sometimes. I suppose I should earn my money at least occasionally"

"Anyway, don't hold up things on account of me. I'll enjoy from afar. I'm sure that manager Thad Meyer has all the lineups and pitching assignments ready to go, and he has my full DOA to run the series as he sees fit. Meantime, I gotta get this piece-of-crap billion dollar plant online before our bonus numbers get shot to hell. Have fun guys!! And girl! (Jodie, lol)"

So ended the GM's text message to us.
