In a sleeping-pill induced haze, the Talons Reclusive GM reportedly woke up at 3:00am last night and called his Scouting and Farm System Director, Schytt E. Pyck.
No one really knows what was said, and it is unlikely that the Ambien-fueled GM remembers either. But various clues point to something big happening down at the ol' DevLab. Our sources indicate that the Lab slots have been full for weeks now, so it was unclear what changes could be made at this time. But there was one morsel in the transaction register this morning that has people wondering.
'Talons announce that RP Bill Lancaster has been given his unconditional release.'
Various pundits have sleuthed out that Lancaster was actually taking up a Devlab slot, and that releasing the player was the only way to open up a position for someone else. But for who?
Talons fans this morning have taken to plane tracking websites and discovered that a private jet was chartered from Buenos Aires, Argentina to Daytona Beach, the location of the Talons Spring Training Complex. And why would such a flight take place? Was it to bring someone else over to the Devlab and take up Lancaster's old slot? Who on the Phoenix roster even lives in Argentina anyway??
