Jodie Hanna waived and sent to AA
After weeks of speculation, the Talons finally made a move with Jodie Hanna, designating her for assignment and sending her to AA Medicine Hat. Hanna, despite a good 2057 campaign, was struggling for most of the season thus far, with a 7.02 ERA in 41 innings. "It's part of the game. It will be a good chance for me to reset and get back to where I need to be," she said. Lefty reliever Aaron Anderson was called up from AAA Surprise to take her place.

#1 Prospect Lucas Rose Joins Rotation
Ever since starter Jaypee Estancia went down in May with a Torn Labrum^TM, the club has struggled to find consistency at the back of the rotation. Despite the franchise's predilection for keeping young players in Single A, Lucas Rose was called up from Toledo and has made two starts thus far with mixed results. Estancia should start a rehab assignment next week.

Toledo Liberty Clinch 20th Straight Division Title
As of August 12th, the Liberty have mathematically clinched another division title, their 20th in a row. After a month or so of playing mere .650 baseball, the Liberty have surged recently, winning 17 of their last 20 games. The club is once again led by outfielder Winston Carreon, who is hitting .360/.408/.472 with 3.5 WAR, as well as 2057 first round pick C Tony Lopez, who is hitting .323/.394/.452 with 3.2 WAR.
