The Talons like to think they have rivalries. And while rivalries are usually reserved for teams that are actually competitive, the Talons Reclusive GM nonetheless seems to believe that his club is actually a "rival" of the Las Vegas Hustlers, the best (major league) BBA team of all time.
That would appear to explain the Talons' increasing presence in Vegas, as they have seemingly set up a complete opposition scouting and tactics headquarters right on Las Vegas Blvd, just north of the MGM:
Inside this innocuous looking Denny's, right on the strip, is reportedly hiding a secret Talons satellite office, where they purportedly can get some scouting info and oppo research on the vaunted Hustlers. This could come in handy in this new era of better balanced divisional schedules. And it might just be paying off, as Phoenix already leads the season series vs Vegas 4 games to 2.
It's early yet, however, and a mere Denny's front operation won't be enough to take down the Hustlers' Evil Empire. So, in addition to the street level operation, the Phoenix also has the high-roller, smoke-filled room angle covered as well, with this secret club-level office inside of the Cosmopolitan:
