The TalonsTM legal woes continue to mount.
Amid ongoing settlement claims against the Denny'sTM restaurant chain and legal action by the corporate parent of the Phoenix Sun Times Post DispatchTM (One of Phoenix's Finest NewspapersTM), the Talons and their Electronic Media And Forum Posting DepartmentTM are in more legal hot water this afternoon.
From what we can gather, the action was brought to the Ninth District CourtTM by none other than 22 year old rookie KrillTM outfielder Graham Aubry. The notice is due to a copyright claim on one of the recent Talons media postings, specifically the Talons Drive Home From Work PodcastTM Episode 2. The claim is for $1,000,420.69 and involves punitive, compensatory, and emotional damages for the Bikini left fielder.
Details are scant, but we are hearing that the suit, still sealed by the court, may have something to do with Aubry's distant ancestor, specifically his great step-uncle Aubrey Graham, who was a minor music celebrity decades ago. The Talons may have illegally used his music in one of their videos. And, well, looking at the Talons YouTubeTM page, this is what we see:
