2057-44: Talons are hurt

Some of the Talons got hurt this past week. It was not good for the team. The Talons are very close to falling out of playoff contention. The first player to get hurt on August 8th was LF Andrew Wright. This was not the first time Andrew got hurt this season, but in the 69 games he played, he was good for 2.4 Wars. Another player who got hurt was C Ron Shiplack on August 10th. He had just come over from Yellow Springs. He had .922 OPS for Phoenix. Both players should be back before the end of the season.

The Talons got some more players to replace the players who got hurt. In LF, the Talons signed Girolamo L'Archibudelli. He used to be good but had a slow start and was released. Hopefully he can do better just playing against RHP. For catcher, the Talons made yet another trade, getting Adalgiso Bosendorfer from Portland. He had 1.3 Wars in 95 games there. These two guys aren't as good as the ones we lost but maybe they can hold the fort into until October.
