2057-41: Talons Do Something

The Talons were not pleased with the state of the JL Wildcard lately and felt they had to make a move. Then the Talons saw that another team was feeling sad about one of their players getting hurt. Then that team offered up some pitchers for trade. Cool, thought the Talons. We could use a pitcher. So the Talons made a trade. They traded some guys from their minor leagues, Carlos Hernandez and Ricardo Capelas. These guys were the Talons 7th and 8th ranked prospects. They also traded reliever Jeff Locke.

In return the Talons got a pitcher. He is old, which means he will fit in with the rest of the team. His name is Alaric Wullenweber and the Talons think that, even though he had a slow start to the year he is doing better the last two months or so. The other team also felt sorry for the Talons negative bonus funds and decided to help pay Alaric's salary. Which was nice of them.

We went to the Talons Reclusive GM to get a quote about the deal. Our voice recorder said it was on, but somehow the file got erased so we don't have the quote for you. But we think we distinctly remember the phrase "Alaric Fucking Wullenweber" repeated a number of times.
