The Talons Reclusive GM was forced to make another "export" today because he forgot to change Your Mom's uniform number.
Mother, whose number was 69 for Toledo, was called up to the Talons this past July and ended up taking the Greater Phoenix Metropolitan Area by storm. Fans were so eager to get their hands on a replica jersey that they crashed the team's merch shop website. Mother's gameday uniforms for his debut were reported stolen from the team locker room and he was forced to play in a generic uniform with no name on the back and the number 2. (I mean who in the world would wear a stupid uniform like that anyway?? But we digress...) Needless to say, the fans were bewildered at the sight of Joe Mother in such an unbecoming uniform. The team offered its apologies and explained the situation based on the clubhouse theft story.
But, today, it was revealed that the truth was far more mundane and ignominious. Apparently, the GM simply "forgot" to change the uniform number baxk in July after he called up the 5'5", 220lb first baseman from Single A Toledo. The team was forced to make up explanations to cover the error. By the time The GM realized his mistake, the season was over and, having already exported for the Geogeogegheogeoan Round, he was forced to "re-export" to ensure that number 69 was squarely on Your Mom's back, where it belongs.
