2053-0003: Talons GM: "Nobody Cares When We Write An Actual Baseball-Type Article, They Only Care When We Complain"

Here we go again. The Talons Reclusive GM just won't shut up. But, we are the Talons Electronic Media And Forum Posting Department, so we have to report on this stuff. To wit:

"See what I mean?" the Talons GM said. "We try and post an actual, serious article on actual, serious baseball stuff. Right? I mean, a list of Free Agent signees is pretty standard fare. There was even a GM on Discord that said they prefer those types of articles as opposed to absurdity."

"So we tried our hand at it. Duly listed the Free Agents that the Talons signed, even with the years and total cost and everything. But crickets. Literally crickets. No comments last I checked and only a handful of BBA forum members even looked at it."

He continued, unfortunately. "But when I complain about the state of the draft pool, suddenly there are responses and even the Governing Board gets involved. Apparently, that's the content that people care about. I just don't know what these people want anymore."

Obligatory player link: Nick Rivers. This guy was a first round pick, 15 overall. A first round pick! 45 POT scrub!! See what we mean???

To be fair, Rivers was rated higher when I originally drafted him. He just didn’t pan out, as such often happens with high school prospects. Just didn’t have the budget at the time to sign him, but almost chose him after John Dawson. Got lucky on that one.
