2049-0008: Talons Front Office Forgot to Write Team News About The Franchise Destroying Trades They Made, So Here It Is

Phoenix, AZ--

The Talons front office, more often than not alseep at the switch, played to form recently as a number of trades were made, but no team news(es) were issued to chronicle how bad the trades were.

Welp, we here at the Phoenix Sun Times Post Dispatch are here to help. So here are some of the trades that were made. No need for us to explain how franchise-destroying these deals were; trust us, its pretty self evident.

One deal that was made sent COF Donald Miller to Valencia, and paying 20% of his salary to boot. The Talons took back CF Jim Lorenzen as salary relief, and also two young pitchers in Jorge Magdalena and Leonard Thompson. Thompson is a lottery ticket type, but if Magdalena can develop his control he could be in the Talons rotation next year.

Another deal saw CL Gilberto Sosa and a bag of cash for his salary go to Sacramento for two young pitchers, Xiao-shuang Chi and Allen Page. As before, looks like Page is a nobody but Chi could have a role in Phoenix at some point. The same day, SP Tomas Ramirez and 20% of his salary went to Boise in exchange for RPs Cornelio Lozano and Gil Phillips. Lozano is a free agent to be, but Phillips looks to be converted and hold down a lefty specialist spot for the Talons next year.

And finally, Phoenix sent one crisp dollar bill to Las Vegas for Olivero Luna, a hitter who is exactly the kind of player that the Talons should be avoiding. So naturally, they signed him to a 4 year extension. Classic.

Anyway, there you have it. If we find any other soul-crushingly horrible trades in the Talons' transactions list, we'll be sure to let you know.
