2045-00005: Talons Make Trade

Phoenix, AZ--

The Talons are pleased to announce a deal with the Louisville Sluggers.

In the deal, the Talons acquire pitcher Steve Flannery, as 24 year old righthander. In return, Louisville gets prospect Edwin Freeman. Flannery is slated to spend the year in AAA, where he will be converted to a full time reliever. Though he had a rough rookie season in 2044 for the Sluggers, the Talons see a potential setup man or better in Flannery in a year or so. Freeman, a starting pitcher, is a few years away but looks to be a contributor once he fully develops.

The Talons Front Office had this to say: "Yeah we've made big trades, but sometimes the little trades are important too. We think Flannery can be a valuable bullpen piece once his conversion is complete. He'll work on his new role in AAA and be ready to make an impact the following season for us in the major leagues."
