2044-0017: Talons GM Travels to Chicago for Scouting Trip, Finds Absolutely Zero Evidence for a Team Named the Black Sox

Phoenix, AZ--
The Talons GM recently returned from a mid-week excursion to Chicago.
"You know, we in this league sure hear an awful lot about a team called the 'Black Sox'," he began. "And let me tell ya, when I was there, I didn't see a single shred of evidence that they actually exist. Not one iota."
"Now, don't get me wrong. Those Chicago fans sure do love their baseball. Did you know that the city has a thriving minor league baseball scene? I saw a ton of fans wearing apparel for a team called the Cubs, and a lot of mentions of a franchise called the 'White Sox'. But not one person seemed to have any idea of a BBA club called the 'Black Sox'. It's kind of weird."
The GM continued. "I mean, you check the forums and all you see are hundreds of articles about this supposed BBA team, the Black Sox. And even more updates on their clearly imaginary farm teams. But you know what? I think it's all fake. Not only does the city of Chicago not know anything about it, but I went ahead and checked the Talons schedule and you know what?? We don't play these 'Black Sox' at all. Not a single time this year."
"So yeah, it's all fake. I'm surprised the Governing Board has let this go on for so long. What a shame...."
