2044-0012: Talons Think to Themselves: "If the Talons Were to Trade Their Players in a Fire Sale, Who Would They Trade?"

SO the Talons were thinking. If there were to be a fire sale, and the Talons were to trade away their players, who would they trade?

3B Pankratz Isekenmier
Not as rangey as other 3B's, but as sure handed as they come. Last 4 seasons have been very consistent at 2.8, 3.5, 3.3, and 3.8 WAR. Starting to heat up this season after a slow start. Currently at 5.2 mil, with one arb year remaining projected at 7.5. Low greed means he is willing to sign a team friendly extension as soon as he hits 5 yrs of time in September.

2B Angel De Castillo
The other player in the Don Smith deal, De Castillo is a Fan Fav who has this year at $16 mil, followed by a team option (2045) and then a vesting option (2046). Will provide a boost of fan interest, but more importantly is flourishing in a leadoff role this season, with 1.5 WAR so far and a slash of .287/.370/.500.

SP Luis Colon
A bargain at 4.5 mil this season and 5 mil next year, Colon's FIP of 3.70 and 1.2 WAR thus far have him on track for one of the better seasons of his career. Amazing intangibles and a personality class of Captain means he will bring together any clubhouse.

SP Cisco Morales
Yeah, so he's been hit up a bit lately. But his 1.3 WAR is still better than Aki Kondo and the Talons have previously indicated that they will offer 100% retention on the remainder of Morales' 1 year, 10.5 million contract. Instant stability to the back end of any contender's rotation.

CL Mitchell Purssell
The Talons flamethrowing closer missed some time due to a strained oblique, but his 2043 season was the best ever by a Phoenix closer as he saved 35 games and recorded a 0.88 ERA in 72 innings. He's making 2.7 mil this season, and has next year's arb deal bought out at 5.5 mil. Could join the new BBA pantheon of "stoppers" on a competitive team.

Will the Talons trade any of these guys? We'll see!
