2043-00009: Talons Set Draft to 'Auto' Before Making First Pick (Just Like 2035) (And 2040)

Phoenix, AZ--

The Phoenix Talons today have announced that they are going to set their draft to "Auto Draft" for the duration of the draft, despite not having picked yet in the first round. "These guys are crap," said the reclusive Talons GM, who explained that the whole draft selection process would not be worth his time this season. "What a joke of a draft class. Oh well, at least we pick 27th too bad we pick 9th, so it's not like we have to waste a top ten pick on these bozos," the GM added.

"And it's not like it will be worth it to just not sign guys. The more that are not signed, it will just dilute the next year's class as well, and there will be like 100 picks in the first two rounds. This draft is so worthless, that it's not even worth the effort to strategize as to who to sign and who not to sign. I really feel bad for the expansion teams all of the other teams, as well as to those special teams who tanked to get a good draft pick, if any. Allegedly."

"So why bother?" asked the GM. "At least I don't have to worry about actually drafting anymore, which will save a lot of effort. I don't have to keep checking StatsPlus, or Slack, or Discord, or Google Hangouts, or Zoom, or whatever the hell they are using these days," he concluded. "So, whatever."
