2042-14: Talons Aren't Amused that OOTP Program Thinks They Should be Happy About Some Bullshit Player of the Week Award

Phoenix, AZ--
Amid another mediocre season, the Talons don't have much to celebrate.
But not according to OOTP!! Rah, Rah, sis-boom-bah!! Hooray and Huzzah! The Talons have a Player of the Week Award Winner, right on THEIR VERY OWN TEAM!
Now, if you're reading along and thinking, "Who the hell cares?", well you are not alone. The Talons are also not impressed. Sure, LF Jose Colon is having a fine season. He's got 40 HR already, leading the club by a huge margin. He's also setting career highs in all three of his "slash stats". (If you don't know what those are, please consult you local BBA stathead GM. There are like 31 of them.)
But with all of the problems in Phoenix lately, its a pretty empty gesture by the OOTP program to try and cheer up a weary front office. The fake news release went all hyperbolic, recounting how Colon "demonstrated his potential to be a star in the game last week and today he took home the Johnson League Player of the Week Award." Well who the hell cares. Phoenix has a crappy team that nobody cares about, and they're supposed to be encouraged by this Hallmark-esque sentiment?
When reached for comment on the above matter, the reclusive Talons GM remarked: "What the fuck is OOTP?"
Go Talons!
