Phoenix, AZ--

Describing what is most likely a catfishing attempt, the General Manager of the Talons today recounted the tale of how he was sent a strange message asking about his availability. "So I logged into the BBA forum, like I do every month or so. You know, just to check up on things. But it wasn't long until I noticed a red, flashing "1" on the Private Messages tab. Thats weird, I'm thinking to myself. What could it be? I mean, I've already read the spam messages telling me to 'vote for hall of famers' or 'the draft is open'. You know, the junk mail. So it couln't be one of those. It also wasn't likely a trade offer, because let's face it, the Talons have no player that anyone else would ever like to trade for. No, this had to be something different," he said.

"Should I click on it? I wasn't sure," he continued. "Who knows what it could be. Most of the viewership of the forum is bots anyway. A bunch of things started going through my head. Did this have anything to do with the fact that I logged into Slack for the first time this calendar year? Was it because we are manipulating Juan Mateo's service time by putting him on the 60 day DL for an injury that will only last 4 weeks? My mind was all over the place. I was actually afraid to click on the link to my Inbox."

"Then, after another shot of VODAK, I said what the hell. And there is was. The subject was only one word. 'Available?' Holy crap, what do I do? What does it mean? Of all the possibilities....I just couldn't bear to click on the message. What if it was a computer virus or something? I mean, my Windows 7 PC is out of support, and Microsoft has been yelling at me for months now. I just couldn't take the risk. Can't afford any malware," the GM concluded.

What was inside that cryptic Private Message? The world may never know.

I've had decent success with these types of emails. They don't always lead you down the path of a sexy milf in your area looking for company, but some do. Open it.

I'm about as available as a 22 year old 10/10/10 rated starting pitcher with four 10 rated pitches signed to a 10 year, 500k/yr contract.

As in, not very.
