Phoenix, AZ--
The Talons just aren't that into the BBA much these days. Not really "vibing" as the kids say. In fact, earlier this season the club intentionally missed three sims in a row just to see what happens.
Nothing.
So, the Talons just shrugged their shoulders and got down to business with running the Brewster's most mediocre team. But it turns out the Friendly Neighborhood Governing Board has been casting a suspicious eye toward Phoenix for quite a while now.
In that case, maybe it shouldn't have been such a surprise to the Talons when they finally decided to log into the forum and check their inbox this morning. Lo and Behold, there appeared the inevitable Nastygram from the keeper of all things holy and PPT-related, @RonCo. Except this particular Gram of Nastyness wasn't all that nasty. In fact, it was a rather pleasant read, and peppered with enough smiley face emojis to make the whole experience rather enjoyable.
Our PPT Lord and Master first took a rather conciliatory tone, blaming himself first for not being as active as he normally was. Then, it turned slightly more sinister when he implied that the UMEBA guys were really starting to threaten certain longtime BBA owners in the participation department. Next, the mood was more collaborative as he suggested that he needed cooperation in order to avoid going after "you" (his word). Again, note the hint of malice there?
But, implied threats or not, the whole thing was so nice that the Talons were happy to receive the note. "Finally", Phoenix thought, "someone cares enough about us to check in!!"
Then, upon checking the message header, the Talons realized that the note wasn't sent to them, but rather the entire league. In fact, they realized this just now, right before typing this paragraph.
I guess the Talons just aren't that special after all....

The Chicago Black Sox would be happy to supply as much malice as the Phoenix Talons would like!
