2040-10: Rival GM Challenges Talons to Not Write TN Articles; Talons Expected to Comply by Not Writing Anymore Articles

Phoenix, AZ--
The Phoenix Talons have been called out.
Oh, not on the baseball field. The team is far too mediocre to attract any challengers in that regard. No one seems to care about Talons baseball, including the Talons.
No, the challenge came from the GM of the Chicago Black Sox (we had to look it up). In the previous, and now penultimate, Talons Team News of the 2040 season, the club (again) lamented about their lack of motivation in writing Team News Articles. This was quickly met with a reply from the aforementioned GM, who told the Talons not to bother. This raised a number of eyebrows in Phoenix, and not only due to the fact that someone actually replied to the post. Back in the heady days of, oh, a couple or three seasons ago, Phoenix actually appeared on the TN leaderboard, even finishing as high as third in the number of articles written.
But with the passage of time, and the influx of newer GMs who produce a truly staggering amount of prodigious writings, Phoenix has drifted back into the lower quartile of News output. But the question remains: will the club meet the challenge? Erudite readers who have scanned this far will no doubt already know the answer. Plus, it was kind of given away in the headline. So, with that, the Talons bid adieu to the forum for the remainder of the season. See you in 2041!
Post Script: The really strange thing is, the Talons could probably actually challenge the Sox on the baseball field. But not in the literary, er, field.
Post-Post Script: Obligitory player links - Voitto Stromberg (the Talons' own Mr. Glass... injured again) and Weaver Ripley (can he finally get that 40-40 season? Not likely, unless he takes two eye exams by October 1st)
