2040-06: Talons GM Gets Triggered After Seeing Lumpy LaLoosh's Name On Hall Of Fame Ballott

Talons front office staff were concerned this afternoon after much cursing and banging was heard coming from behind the locked doors of the General Manager's office.

"It sounds like he's throwing things in there," a worried intern told passers-by.

Later in the day, it was ascertained that the reason behind such sturm-und-drang was the annual BBA Hall of Fame ballot, sent out every spring training to every GM via "private message" from the commissioner on a shared internet forum. The Talons GM reportedly became upset upon seeing the name of Lawrence Columbus LaLoosh, apparently up for serious consideration as an actual, real life hall of famer. Talons fans in-the-know would recall that the club signed the very same LaLoosh to a 5 year, $130 million deal before the 2037 season. It was a deal that was well received around the league, with LaLoosh being seen as the ace the Talons needed to go deep into the playoffs.

After about two and a half months in the Talons rotation, the supposed ace tore his labrum and was never the same again. The team later dumped LaLoosh and his remaining salary of over $90 million, having to give up a couple of top prospects in order to pull it off. Ever since then, the GM has had a sore spot for the pitcher, repeatedly calling him "Lumpy" in the press. And finally today, merely seeing LaLoosh on the HOF ballot triggered the GM, who purportedly wrote "FUCK NO" next to the pitchers name on the ballot.
