2039-06: Talons Announce Ted Schmidt Appreciation Night at the Ballpark

In the universe of the BBA, it's hard to stay relevant. There are always new faces, new perspectives. And a lot of them can write, and do so often. So, when a team news comes out, it's always a struggle to stay at the top of the "active topics" page, lest your hard work be buried on page 2 and never looked at again.
 
So it helps to have, well, help. Someone whom can always be counted on to read, understand, and comment on your various Team Newses, and maybe even sometimes get the joke, if there is one. Why is this so important? Simple. Every comment bumps your article back to the top of the active topics page. How great would it be if one could count on another to perform this valuable service?
 
Enter the Phoenix Talons Team News Fan Club and Appreciation Society. Its founder, leader, and only member, Ted Schmidt, made it his life's work to comment on each and every Team News article that the Talons put out, thereby keeping it bumped to the top (for another couple hours anyway) and allowing others to see it. Maybe even Ron Collins. And who doesn't love a RonCo comment on their article, amirite?
 
Unfortunately, with the recent regime change in California, sadly the Talons can no longer count on Ted to keep the comment streak alive. Oh sure, maybe he'll pop back in now and then to look around, but the heady days of Ted Schmidt and the PTTNFCaAS are over.
 
Therefore, the Talons have announced Ted Schmidt Night at Paul D. Lunn Memorial Stadium. What better way to honor one of the greatest fans of the franchise (and its Media Department)? And what a treat we have for the fans on this special night. Every Talons fan who comments on a team news article, even back to 2029, gets a free ticket to the game. How awesome is that?
 
So take it from us, Ted. Thanks for all you have done. Thanks for keeping the legacy of Talons Team Newses alive. Maybe someday, all will be right in the OOTP universe and you find your way back to our shores. Fare thee well.

My guess is that Ted is swerving us, taking a year off and coming back as one of the expansion teams. Or at least that is what I hope.
