Thad Meyer was awarded the Zimmer DIamond Glove award for his work in right field last season. In addition to his offensive contributions, Meyer only made one error in right all season long and amassed a +9.1 zone rating. He also proved he can still play center, appearing there in 21 games and recording a positive ZR as well.
Arturo Barron is known to strike out a lot, and was even featured in the BBA Media Guide for doing so. But he still has a positive WAR, not only due to his second straight 30 HR season, but also for his stellar defense at 2B. His excellent +12.7 ZR garnered Arturo his first Diamond Glove at the keystone.
Brendan Kerndl won't be winning any Diamond Gloves, like ever. But he did enjoy a breakout season in terms of hitting, which earned him a Platinum Stick Award at third base. His 142 OPS+ and 4.6 WAR were career highs.
Well, we think thats all there was. I mean, we really try to get them awards every year, voting for all of our own players and such. SOmetimes it works, most times it doesn't. But it worked three times last season.
