Phoenix, AZ
The Phoenix Talons experienced a first in franchise history this past offseason. One of their minor league players decided to retire and become a coach. That's all well and good, and worth the 10 points it cost them, the Talons figure. This former player has been with the franchise since 2029 and he will be a good mentor to our young players. His name is rumored to be Mark, or Mike, or Matt Reddcliffe, or something, but the Talons couldn't give us any specifics. Like his actual name.
Anyway, League rules dictate that a Team News must be written describing the fact that the Talons had a player become a coach. But, word is, the Talons are refusing to write such an article, out of an insatiable curiosity to see what will happen to their newest minor league pitching coach. Will he be fired? will he be killed? Will he just disappear like he never existed? The Talons have expressed a desire to find out. So don't sit around waiting for any Team News Articles about this guy. Because, to he honest, we kind of want to see what happens, too.
