2037-23: Talons Team Post News Article Preview Recap Update

Phoenix, AZ--

Local media today was puzzled as to why they were told to gather at the Phoenix area Denny's restaurant on North 7th street.

He was the fourth-highest vote getter among JL starting pitchers, while his shortstop was selected as a reserve by the manager to fill out the JL roster. The CF's 36 doubles led the Johnson League, and he was second with 10 triples. He was rated as an "extremely hard" sign, but the Talons threw over $5 million at him and he committed within days. The projections were off the charts, with some analysts calling him the best pure hitting prospect in recent memory.

His skills at short look to be average or slightly above, and his arm strength will make it easy to transition to third base when the time comes. Maybe everyone expected that, too, but it seems to have come as a surprise to the Talons front office staff. In fact, you could even make the case that they have genuinely lost interest. But he chose to spurn the young club and test free agency this past year. That did not go well for him, and he was forced to take a deal to come back to the Talons.

And, as is typical with situations like these, someone has to take the fall when things don't go right. Perhaps he was overthrowing a bit trying to get called up? But without their ace, it seems like a lost cause. Given a 25 game cup of coffee in September with the Talons, he slashed .330/.378/.560 and appeared comfortable and mature in the lineup. Fans aren't buying the predictions, figuratively and literally, as season ticket sales project to be down compared to last year.

Looking ahead, Talons blogs and fanposts seem to agree that the core of the team will remain intact. He is now considered to be an ace, pretty much exactly what the Talons thought they were trading for. Add that up with good speed and advanced baserunning instincts, and you have a guy worthy of a top 5 selection. Let's be honest, his defense and popularity are the only reasons he is still getting any sort of playing time. But is it for real? Past precedent suggests that it's not, and it seems no one knows how to right the ship.

Go Talons!

This is impressively obtuse. It's not old Team News hashed together. That was a first thought, but a search shows that not to be true. However, in steadfast news fashion, the Talons Team News fanclub is disseminating the Team News to the masses. This one will be in letters cut out of various magazines and labels glued to dead animals. There are obvious oblique player references, but those inside the offices of the Team News fan club president report he's not really interested in playing match a player.

Sometimes I think, what are you doing with your life being a fan of a team news? You are a disappointment to anyone who ever invested in you. It's possible this is some sort of code but Talons team news fans are know for being incredibly stupid, so the news authors have clearly wasted their time. But have they? Is all news good for Team News? Reportedly it all earns the same amount of points, but what are points?

So I'll just keep responding to all news recap updates one by one. There is only one team news since the beginning of the formation of the Talons Team News Fanclub I have not responded two. Possibly two. Definitely no more than two. And soon it will be one. The other one, I wondered if it would be in bad taste. So I did not. But perhaps I should have.

The best thing about being a fan of a thing that happens regardless of team performance, that is, being a fan of the Team News, not the team, is that what happens to the team does not impact the fan club membership. It is, and shall remain, one. At least, as long as the Team News continues to be published. Should it stop, would the fan club dissolve? I don't know. There may be something clever being done here. Members of the fan club (member?) do not care, inasmuch that the function of the fan club has been fulfilled. Responding to Team News.

In this particular Team News, various references to things past, present, and possibly future have occurred. All of them are very exiting to members of the Team News fanclub. Some of them may be connected. Many things are likely connected, regarding baseball news. Hopefully in the second half of the season, the Team New continued. Their content may not. It would depend on the players on the team. Or perhaps the actions of the GM.

Most of the things in this news are not connected or assembled in a way that matters. But nothing matters more than being a fan of Team News, at least not to the member(s?) of the Team News fanclub. It's a good thing that the management of the Talons Team news will continue to make news.
