2037-17: Weaver Ripley Drinks a Zima (Legally This Time)

Weaver Ripley (6/6/10/7/3 Talents) was finally able to savor an ice cold postgame Zima, according to clubhouse sources, after the Talons 8-4 victory against the Sluggers on May 1st. The rookie center fielder was hounded by an investigation by the Maricopa County Sherriff's Office after reports surfaced of the 20 year old Ripley drinking in the clubhouse after a win last September 10th. He was questioned by deputies the next day, but there were no arrests of citations related to the incident.

This season, Ripley celebrated his 21st birthday on April 14th, and was quoted by the Phoenix Sun Times Post Dispatch about "grabbing a cold one" after the May 1st contest. Observers confirm that the cold one in question was indeed a Zima, followed by a Seagram's Escapes flavored malt beverage of the "Jamaican Me Happy" variety. Unnamed teammates speculate that as Ripley matures, he may even move up to other "cold ones" such as a Mike's Hard Lemonade or even a Bud Light Lime.
