Some teams get 6 points by guessing about another GM's franchise. The Talons take the lazy way out: They write about their own team, break it up into seven Team News Articles, and enjoy 14 points for their trouble. With that, we present the 2036 Talons Season Preview Series. Herein, we'll take a look at offseason moves, check out the farm system at all levels, and scope out the offense and pitching staff. Trade - 11/20/2035
Talons get: OF Jean-Luc Lecaze, C Vicente Diaz
Bears get: One (1) Dollar
This was a classic salary dump by San Fernando, as Lecaze is still owed some serious coin for a minimum of three more seasons. In the trade report, the Talons praised Lecaze's speed, defense, and ability to sell tickets, claiming that the increased fan interest will offset the $12 million salary. So far, the club is projected to pull in record revenues this season, in no small part due to this deal. The other piece, the 22 year old Diaz, looks to be an asset in his own right, projecting as a borderline starting catcher as soon as 2037.

Free Agents
SP Juan Martinez - 1 year, $1,000,000
SP Martin Pacheco - 1 year, $1,050,000
RF Domenic Wyatt - 3 years, $2,800,000 per season
The Talons weren't very active in the years' weak free agant market, but they did make a few February signings for added depth. Pacheco pitched well in 10 starts down the stretch for the club in 2035. Juan Martinez has also had some success as a starter/swing man the past few seasons. And Phoenix fans definitely know Wyatt, the right fielder who was salary dumped last season. With only two years guaranteed, it seems a small price to pay to give Wyatt, a fan favorite, one more chance at success.
