2063-012: Talons Be Like: "So Are We Supposed to Write Something Now, or What??

So the regular season is over and the Talons have won 98 games. This represents the highest win total in franchise history.

Like, Yay, or something?

Anyway, Now the team has to literally sit around for a week before they get to play any playoff games, which seems unfair due to all of the lost playoff revenue. A front office source was overheard saying: "Should have tanked it a little so we could have snuck in as a wild card. Would have been a lot more money. That's what we get for calling all of the Liberty guys up at once. Should have held a few back for another year."

In any case, some Talons players had good seasons. Like Adrian Tallent, Mas'ud bin Salah al Din, Pedro Toro, Tony Lopez, and even old friend Nick Rivers. In addition, some of the trades proved to be useful, like Julio Perez, Garth Dobbs, and even Doug Eckhoff. Oh yeah, and Ernesto Juarez was good for a while too, until the All Star Game ruined him and now he is injured. What a waste. Anybody want to trade for him?

Sigh. Now to wait around and get swept in the Doubleday Series. Big whoop.

At least Toledo won another championship. Now THAT is something we can be proud of!
