Parker bumps his way into consideration
Turning heads in River Monster camp this spring is 26-year-old John Parker. Parker showed up at the camp in unbelievable shape. Scouts said that he added 2 miles an hour to his fastball, 3 points to his stuff, 1 point to his movement, and 1 point to his control. While that's certainly cause for great cheer, it all needs to be taken in stride.
Parker possesses just 4 control, which will limit his potential somewhat, and he only has 2 pitches. But as a bullpen arm, 13 stuff and 8 movement(15/9 VS RHB) play pretty well. John Parker is a guy that you might want to watch this spring. It's uncertain what his chances are to make the team given the veteran nature of the teams bullpen, but he could be a factor in the near future.
The River Monsters may have missed the boat by not using an age inquiry on him. Being 26 years old, he might not hit any more bumps. Then again, maybe he will. I guess we're just going to have to wait and see how this plays out.

Should be a good ROOGY at minimum. That control is scary though.
