TWC 48.03 Pitchers... Pitchers... Too many pitchers

Post by Spiccoli » Wed Sep 08, 2021 2:16 pm

In the past, during TWC's previous play offs runs, several seasons have gone off the rails due to extreme injuries to top starters. So maybe it can be forgiven if GM Scott Piccoli has almost exclusively focuses on prospect pitchers in either trades or early rounds of the draft.

So the current situation in the Minor League system is this....

7 Pitchers and 0 Position Players in the minors in the Top 100 Prospects. And all seven pitching prospects are starter.

The highest rated TWC position player prospect is 3B Vasco Fonzarelli!!... at 169. At 50 rated player likely to see little to no BBA time. But with the current TWC major league, maybe he will... lol.

Maybe GM Scott Piccoli has been a little too focused on acquiring starting pitchers.

Anyway, the good news is the TWC minor league system is currently rated 11th after being rated 32nd just two seasons ago when GM Scott Piccoli returned to take over the team.

It's highly likely TWC will be picking much higher in the draft soon... so look for the team to actually draft a quality position player in 2048 or 2049... or even 2050. But those young shiny SP's are so hard to resist.

Try and find those two-way pitchers lol. Get them hitting the first six innings and coming on to close out the game and visa versa lol
