Game Log VS IN H R ER W K Result
04/01/2044 MAD Win, 9-3 X 7.0 6 1 1 1 10 Win
04/06/2044 OMA Win, 2-1 X 7.0 5 1 1 0 5 Win

Twin Cities Fans couldn't be any happier with their home grown Ace going out and tossing two 1 Run gems in Kelly's first two starts. Kelly was efficient, going 7 innings in both games before turning the ball over to the bullpen.

"It's nice to see the K's," replied Manager Juan, "It's a sign he's hitting his spots and keeping hitters off balance." Kelly has 15 K's through his first 14 innings, while only giving one walk so far.

Kelly has always done a good job of limiting baserunners over his career, even in seasons where his command has struggled (Career 1.12 WHIP). Where's he's gotten into trouble is when he's allowed those baserunners to score by giving up homeruns.

With Kelly in a contract year, he's going to be eager to show off his skills to get the big payday he's been expecting. If he throws another quality season like 2043, he could be looking at almost doubling his current $15 Million salary given the recent Free Agent market for higher end Starters.

However, Kelly has had off and on injury issues over the years and the Twin Cities coaching staff has been reluctant to let him go deep into games. If the team shows up this season and has a tough play off run, the Team may unleash Kelly's pitching counts later in the season to let him close out games. However, there's always the danger of losing him to another season injury as in the past.
