43.03 TWC - The Front Office 2039 Gamble on Juan Valdez looks to pay off

2042 STATS - 14 W 8 L - 4.44 ERA - 1.34 WHIP - 2.3 WAR

There was some raise eyebrows when the TWC Front Office dealt starter Josh Brown to Las Vegas for then reliever Juan Valdez.

However, GM Piccoli saw the potential in Valdez to be a future starter. With starting pitchers being worse than scarce in the drafts when Twin Cities was picking mid rounds, Piccoli was looking for alternate ways to fabricate a starting pitching staff. Which lead to the Team acquiring promising relievers with great stuff and movement... along with the stamina to pitch deep into games.

Valdez emerged in 2042 as a dependable starter in a starting rotation that struggled to find consistency. Look for the Team to lean on Valdez to be a #2 starter behind Chris Kelly in the 2043 season.

I read this hoping for something about coffee.

Perhaps I just aged myself some with that comment.
