Arredondo started 2042 slow after being injured in April (3 weeks) and having a less than stellar May. He surged in June, but due to missing most of April, didn't qualify for voting for the All Star Game.
Francisco was on complete tear in July and August with an OPS over 1.150 for those two months. If Twin Cities could have pulled off the Extra Inning Deciding Game 5 against Omaha, he would have been the front runner for the Wild Card MVP by hitting a scorching 1.621 OPS, 4 home runs with 8 RBI's and scoring 7 runs of his own.
Arredondo also earned himself a Diamond Glove at 2B by being a steady presence, though not terrible flashy. Some might say his award spoke more to the lack of defensive talent in the Frick league since Francisco finished the season with a 4.82 Range and 4.7 Zone Rating (1.042 Eff). But you won't hear him complaining.
