Spring Training Stats - .383 BA / 9 2B / 3 HR / 11 RBI / 1.226 OPS
While Jose Cordero was likely ready for the BBA in 2040, Twin Cities as a team wasn't... The team was terrible and everyone knew it. Instead of sulking at AAA Duluth, Cordero tore up the league with an nice 1.179 OPS / 53 HRs / 8.7 WAR, bringing home a RHML Steve Garvey Award for the best hitter in the league.
The early results of Spring Training appear to show that Jose Cordero is ready to continue that success at the BBA level. And the Team is definitely going to need production from Cordero. While the Twin Cities Minor League system is stuffed with pitching talent... almost none of that talent is ready for the BBA level. The pitching staff won't likely be as bad as 2040, that's not saying much and TWC Fans are likely in for a lot of Softball Scoring type of games in the next season or two.
Either way, it's been a long time coming for the hopefully Future BBA Star....
