41.04 TWC - Rule 5 brings two raw Utility IF prospects to the Twin Cities

Twin Cities has never really dipped much in the Draft 5 Pool under GM Scott Piccoli... However, with the current rebuilding, any chance to acquire talent whether they're ready for BBA or not seem like too good a chance to pass up.

IF Juan Manuel - Age 20 (50/55) (4/5/5/6/4)
Juan is ready to contribute now in the BBA level. An outstanding infielder, he back up Lloyd Braun and is likely to see some action at Second Base while Francisco Arredondo recovers from his high ankle sprain. He's not a great hitter, but has a decent eye and has upside baserunning skills... look for him to see some pinch runner and defensive subs late in game.

IF Guillermo Fuentes- Age 20 (20/60) (4/7/2/2/4)
Guillermo is cut from the same mold as Juan Manual, but is more raw and not as good a fielder. Though he projects to eventually be slightly better with the bat. Unfortunately for TWC, he's not ready for the BBA level and will just eat up a roster spot until the year is over if the team want to take a chance on him. He'll only see time if injuries get out of hand as there's plenty of better IF talent in front of him.

Ultimately, neither player projects as starter nor will fill Twin Cities future hole at Shortstop. However, both players could be nice options for backup and/or injury replacements.
