2040.09 TWC Meet the Future 2042 River Monsters Part 1 (Starters)... For Now

Post by Spiccoli » Mon Dec 02, 2019 11:24 am

With the closing of the River Monster's worst season in Franchise history... The Front Office put out a press release to give Fans hope that this downturn will be short term. In the release, the River Monster's projected the future starting lineup for the 2042, obviously assuming no major changes prior to then. The ages of the players listed as of today and not in 2042. Some of these players should be making an appearance in 2041, some will need more time to develop.

Starting Pitchers (Age / Potential Rating / Talents)

LHP Jose Perez (20) 70
8/7/9
2039 Trade from Jacksonville (with 3 other Prospects) for Starter Chris Kelly

RHP Liam Thorpe (19) 70
6/8/7
2039 Drafted by TWC - Round 1 - 33rd Over-all

LHP Brian King (21) 70
6/7/8
2038 Drafted by TWC - Round 1 - 22nd Over-all

RHP Lucio Mendoza (20) 60
8/6/5
2039 Trade from Nashville (With 3 other prospects) for 3B Joey Newhouse and CL Lorenzo Di'Medici

Lucio Mendoza has been a pleasant surprise since he was aquired as part of the package for Joey Newhouse. He's added a bit on his stuff with a boost to his velocity and splitter late last season. The team has also been excited with the progress of Jose Perez who has put on 2 points in Stuff and increased his movement since he came over in the package for Chris Kelly... boosting his over-all rating from 55 when traded to 70 currently.

While there's always much uncertainly in developing starters, the Front Office is extremely hopeful that there could be three starters with Ace Potential.

Four solid pitchers there. King needs some deb to happen soon, though.

Shhh.... We're afraid you'll hurt his feelings and he'll decide to pack up and play basketball or something.

In all seriousness, the Heartland is going to be really tough very soon, and these guys are a big part of the story.
