SP Brian King - LHP
Drafted 1st Round (22nd Over-all) 2038
AGE 20
SCOUT RATING - 70/80 (Potential)

CURRENT (POT) RATINGS
2(6) - STUFF
5(7) - MOV
2(8) - CON

Drafted 2 years ago by the Twin Cities Organization, Brian was a highly touted Starting Pitcher prospect out of High School and scouts remain bullish on his potential to eventually become a #1 or #2 starter.

However, over 2 plus seasons, Brian has made minimal progress and is still struggling even at the lowest minors at 20 years old. The big Lefty (6'8") still throws in the lower 90's and has yet to put on any velocity since being drafted. His frustration is obvious to everyone in the clubhouse around him.

The Front Office seems to be waiting for the other shoe drop... either a big time break through for the kid or for Scouts to realize that a Big League Future isn't in the cards for Brian.

For an Organization betting in it's future through developing young talent, to have a high talent like King flame out would be a big blow. However, GM Piccoli remains optimistic that Brian will figure it out and will be playing in the Twin Cities in a few seasons.

Not sure if I'd be more concerned about stuff or control.

Control sometimes takes time. Can't link him, but my Ray Verhoeve's (in my rotation) control didn't bump for like 3 years. Drafted in 2035, his control was a current 1 at the 2036 update, 2 in 2037, back to a 1 in 2038, and a 2 in 2039. It was a 5 for the 2040 update and is now a 6. His stuff had developed at this point though. If one of the two bump to a 4+ by the 2041 update, he should end up fine with patience.
