With a flick of a pen, the current run in the Twin Cities is officially over. Starting Pitchers, Ace Chris Kelly and Lefty Josh "Spud" Brown were dealt in return for five promising prospects.

Understandably fans are upset and owner Robin Wells isn't happy, however, there are some long sighted individuals who are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

"We weren't going anywhere and have been just barely treading water this season," commented Beat Writer Jimmy Lipper. "Outside of Kelly, the starting pitching has been horrendous this season and the offense has been keeping the team around in most games."

Nothing is going to change there. Also, the bullpen has been unexpectedly sharp which has been a reversal in seasons past where the bullpen routinely gave away games late.

Chris Kelly's legacy in the Twin Cities is going to be one of "What If's". He was lost for the majority of two seasons due to injury and was a bit off last season. At this point in his career, there should be much more to write on his resume. He's heading for Jacksonville, where he can definitely give them a shot in the arm. Kelly has been pitching solid the last month or so after struggling early. And when's he's hot, he's practically unbeatable. He's got a great contract for his current talent and he's set up in a great system to make a fun for the Championship... and as other Heartland Teams have said... at least he's in the other league now.

In return, Jacksonville sent four minor leaguers with an excellent chance to be future BBA Starters

SP Jose Perez
RP Angel Gomez
CF Ramon Gabriel
2B Francisco Arrendondo

Ironically, Josh Brown and Kelly came up together and looked to be a dynamic duo... However, Brown has faded a bit in recent seasons, but still has the potential to be a solid lefty Starter. He was dealt to Las Vegas for a promising young pitcher, 18 year old Juan Valdez. It's rumored that the Pitching Staff is going to try add another pitch to his arsenal in the offseason and attempt to development him as a future starter.
