In a season where the regular River Monster All Stars had an off year, Catcher Sang-Duk Sim did his part to pick up the slack. Sim had a break out year in 2037 in his third full season behind the plate. His .891 OPS was more than 100 points higher than his first two seasons.

However, the Catcher turned heads by bringing home the Frick League batting title... Hitting .341, edging out San Fernando's Jared Gilstrom who hit .337.

Mid-way through the Post Season voting, Sang-Duk appears to be slightly edged out by Edmonton's Catcher Eric Fabre. Fabre's power numbers were better than Sim's, but mostly across the board, the two catchers were neck and neck for the 2037 season.

By the Numbers
BA - .341 Sim / .270 Fabre
2B - 31 Sim / 31 Fabre
HR's - 16 Sim / 32 Fabre
OPS - .891 Sim / .890 Fabre
WAR - 4.6 Sim / 4.7 Fabre

"Baseball is the ultimate team game, you have to have the guys to step up when others are hurt or are slumping. Sim was definitely one of the those guys for the River Monsters this year, along with Joey Newhouse," commented Manager Juan Williams. "He's really become one of Twin Cities' Club House team leaders.
